Fantasic Clean-up effort by 56 volunteers

The first clean-up of the season was a great success with 56 people attending the morning on the 5th April. Stalwart volunteers were joined by some new faces and tackled the rubbish from the Visitor Centre to Gorgie Road. A huge amount of litter and debris was collected, over 70 bin bags were filled, we found 5 cones, 3 bikes, a number of road signs, alarmingly 9 car batteries, a flat screen TV, and a turtle!!. Thank you to all who helped out.

There are community clean-ups happening along the river all this month, so look out for details along the walkway or contact us if you would like to lend a hand.
