Ribbon of Wildness by Peter Wright
ALL WELCOME - MEMBERS FREE - GUESTS £2
Author Peter Wright will be giving an illustrated talk about his book Ribbon of Wildness - Discovering the Watershed of Scotland. He often describes the Watershed as being: 1,200km of bog, rock, mountain, moor and forest - and wildness; for in essence, that is indeed what he experienced when he walked the entire route in 2005. The book and talk, however, takes the story well beyond, to look at things as varied as the meaning of hill names, the 90 or so designated and protected sites, the variety of literary references and so much more. An entertaining evening and a highly original and personal perspective on the Scottish landscape.
Please RSVP by 1st December 0131 455 7367 admin@waterofleith.org.uk or use this form.
