We have all seen discarded PPE in the streets, parks and greenspaces and our volunteers are sick of picking up this potentially hazardous litter. Masks and gloves also pose a risk to wildlife.

We love that our volunteers keep on coming out some weekly, others monthly and some yearly, together we’ll keep the river and walkway being epic.
The Water of Leith Conservation Trust works to conserve and enhance the river, its heritage and wildlife: The Trust promotes education and recreation through the Visitor Centre, and works with volunteers and community groups to deliver around 240 river clean-ups and habitat improvement tasks annually.
