Staff and Volunteers are so grateful for all the support, comments and ‘likes’ we get from river users, it helps so much when clearing rubbish from the river or dealing with another muddy puddle. This year we have also been blown away by the amount of donations and fundraising support we have received from the public, members and volunteers, these random acts of kindness mean so much and have generated over £15,000!!  helping to plug the hole left from not being able to trade at the Centre or deliver charged groups.

We have also been delighted to have pots of money to help us buy equipment and resources – lately we have received:

£250 for new waders from Alpkit.

£500 from Virgin Money for planters and bird boxes (to be built this weekend by the ladies of Broughton Rugby Club)

£250 from  ‘Volunteering Matters’  for plants and seeds

Gifted £1000 worth of tools from Sustrans love you network fund

400 trees from ‘I Dig Trees’ and TCV

And finally the BIG ticket item being our new shinny cargo bike funded by Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Community Climate Asset Fund.
