Charlotte ran and ran and ran – 46 miles in total

Regular readers will know Charlotte our Conservation and Volunteers Officer is a very fit lass, two years ago she ran 28 miles from the Source to Sea along the river (instead of attending the covid cancelled London Marathon) For this years challenge she decided to go a few miles further – to Orkney to compete in Scotland’s first backyard ultra marathon.

Last Saturday at 12pm she set off on her first 4.16 mile loops of Twatt Farm in Orkney, 11 hours later she was still running, but after 46 miles she finally ran out of steam. Longer than she ever ran before we are so proud of her and this amazing feat. She also ran in support of our work and raised over £2000 in the process. There is still time to donate if you would like to show your support
