After the main business of the AGM there will be a presentation by Charlotte Neary, Senior Project Officer at Forth Rivers Trust. Catchment Scale River Restoration on the Allan Water and The River Devon – How river restoration can enhance biodiversity, slow the flow and build resilience to climate change

The AGM and presentation will be followed by a drinks reception and a chance to get to know our trustees and other members.

The Minutes, Annual Report and Accounts for the year ending 31st March 2024 will be available in advance of the meeting at www.waterofleith.org.uk/the-trust/

Crossing the Water of Leith: Bridges through time

Many of us enjoy walking beside the Water of Leith, following its riverside path, but how often do we stop to notice the bridges we cross, the ones carrying roads over the river, or even those that seem to lead nowhere? In early 2023, ecologist Lynda Hepburn explored the length of the river with a friend trained as an engineer, discovering a fascinating array of structures that span the water and uncovering some of the Water of Leith’s rich and often overlooked history. Join Lynda on this illustrated journey from Leith to the river’s source and discover the stories behind its bridges—you’ll never look at the Water of Leith in quite the same way again

Celebrate the turning of the seasons with harvest traditions, firelight, Celtic heritage, and the spirit of Samhain.

Book your start time on this event celebrating the turning of the season at the Centre and though the Dells. Storytelling, Fireside Gathering, Nature Crafts and Samhain Traditions. Start times begin from 3pm, and continue every 15mins until 5pm (12 people per start time) Tour likely to last around 1.5 hours
