The former Slateford School building on Lanark Road has been transformed into the fascinating Water of Leith Visitor Centre and home of the Water of Leith Conservation Trust. Funding from the Millennium Commission, SEEL and the City of Edinburgh Council has enabled us to restore the building sympathetically and create a beautifully designed and well-serviced interior.
The main part of the building houses a fantastic Interactive Exhibition about the river and its wildlife, which is open to the public everyday from 10 am to 4 pm. In addition we have the yellow room (a large open hall) and a meeting room, which are available for hire. Facilities include: toilets, disabled access, kitchen and office space.
The Water of Leith Visitor Centre is a unique and spectacular setting for meetings, training courses and social engagements. Our friendly and helpful staff will ensure your occasion runs seamlessly. We represent value for money and originality.
