After many long years and a couple of false starts the landslide issue along the Walkway between Belford Road and Dean Village has been resolved, repaired and reopened. This is wonderful news for the river and all its users. Its been a long road but thank you to the Council’s Natural Heritage Team for their persistence.
We are also happy to say the Bonnington section is also now open again following wall repairs. Meaning for the first time in a decade the whole walkway is OPEN!!
There are however still issues with damaged bridges in the Dells and Colinton but these repairs are scheduled for the autumn and do not affect the main route.
