Busy and productive days for the Trust as May and June feel more normal

For anyone keeping count that's 53 volunteers out today contributing 110 hours of effort in one day!! So with the Centre back open daily and now school groups have returned for the remainder of the term for outside only learning programmes, everyone is back and working at full tilt. It feels so good!!

The 25th May felt like we were back in business with one of our busiest days, so much going on.

Helen was at Balgreen Community garden giving it a tidy up and checking the banks for Himalayan balsam.

Johnny was out with pupils from St George’s pulling balsam from the old run at Edinburgh sports club and cutting back vegetation at Belford.

Charlotte was at Juniper Green surveying her Giant Hogweed plots. In one plot they recorded 50 different species, whereas 4yrs ago it was just Giant Hogweed. (more news of this project next month)

The Centre was open staffed by volunteers and Goff and Tony were at the visitor centre replacing the bench tops in the courtyard.

Finally, Charlotte is out this evening litter picking with the 108th Pentland cub pack litter picking in the Dells.
