Making short movies is a great way to increase access for people who can’t physically get to the river or—for our Outdoor Learning Officer Ruth—to help best prepare school pupils for their visit. Following on from our ‘how-to’ Geography river field study videos, this summer Charlotte and Ruth created a video discussing the environmental challenges faced by the river.

Our most recent video ‘Invertebrate Sampling on the Water of Leith’ is aimed at helping high school biologists develop their kick sampling skills. In the first two weeks alone, it has been viewed on YouTube 192 times! Thanks to trustee Bryce and Ruth’s daughter Alice for their video editing skills.

Finally if you missed our AGM you can now hear Charlottes presentation on our Giant Hogweed control work along the river
