This May saw the installation of Edinburgh’s first Biomatrix floating habitats in the river just downstream from Great Junction Street Bridge. Check out this video by Bryce Morrison. This is the first element of our Coalie Park Improvement Project to go ahead – more elements will follow in the autumn but it was important to get this underway during the growing season. It is hoped this will provide much needed new habitat in the area above and below the water.
