This ‘snuggle’ of eider chicks were spotted having a snooze on one of the platforms this week. They seem to be a hit with the ducks, cygnets, heron, moorhens and goosanders in Leith. Somewhere safe to rest and breed is vital for birdlife. However it is hoped these platforms will do more than provide a safe refuge for birds and fish, we hope it will also help to improve water quality.
