An online “Story Map” has been published featuring paintings of the mills around Currie and Juniper Green, painted by Edwin G Lucas during the 1930s-40s.
It takes the reader along the Water of Leith, visiting the sites of 9 old mills. Each point on the map has a description and a slide show of images, including 12 of Edwin’s paintings, historic photos of the mills, and photos of the sites as they are today. It can be viewed on a computer, tablet or smart phone.
