Tricky youngsters get the chance to fish and keep off the streets

The Honorary Bailiffs of the Water of Leith, The Lothian and Borders Police and the Water of Leith Conservation Trust have been working together on a 'youth diversionary fishing project' over the past month. Selected young people have been given the opportunty to have three days fishing with the bailiffs, recieving training in how to use the equipment, and the best techniques to use whilst fishing. So far 8 young people have taken part and if the project is a success it may be rolled out along the river next season.
