Dramatic Rescue of a Fox on the debris which has accumulated in Leith after the flood on 24th June

Thank you to local resident Jim Jarvie for this image
On 24th June we had a very dramatic flood event which we reported on in our last blog. This event washed a huge about of debris, wood and litter down to the basin area in Leith where is has accumulated on the boom, which prevent such debris going into the docks.
We are happy say that thanks to the fire brigade, SSPCA, owners of the Ocean Mist boat and local people the fox was rescued and while he was scared and tired otherwise was unharmed.
We hope that the area will be cleared this week.
